In 2004 I was lucky enough to be accepted as one of the artists to paint a panda for the the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities Pandamania DC exhibit. Titled “The Garden Variety Panda” my panda featured flowers, butterflies, plants and patterns found in nature. It was on exhibit at the Benning Road Metro Station until the auction where all of the pandas were auctioned off. A wonderful book displaying all of the pandas was produced. This was a fun and exciting project that I’ll never forget. I would love to see my panda today, hopefully in nature enjoying life.
